Gate in a Meadow

The Susanville Ranch Park is a county park in Lassen County, California. As the name suggests, it was a privately owned ranch beginning in the mid-1800's and was eventually sold to the local electric company, who donated the land to the county in 1984.
This old ranch gate sits along a fence line between a large meadow and Bagwell Creek. In the background is Thompson Peak and the Diamond Range, which is at the northern edge of the Sierra Nevada.
