About Prints

I'm currently offering two types of prints through the website: HD Metal and Gallery Wrap Canvas. Both are gallery quality prints that will last for many years with proper care. Prints are produced by a well-known, third-party printing partner with a reputation for making some of the highest quality prints on the market. I've been using them for years and am very pleased with their quality.

HD (High Definition) Metal prints are printed on Chromaluxe brand aluminum sheets, using a “dye sublimation process.” The image is first printed onto a transfer paper with "dye-based" inks, then "sublimated" into the aluminum sheet with heat and pressure. This bonds the inks with the aluminum, infusing them beneath the surface to create a very long-lasting print. These prints are scratch-resistant and hold up well in moist environments. Unlike other print mediums, you can wipe away fingerprints easily with a soft microfiber cloth and glass cleaner, keeping your prints looking like new for years to come.

HD Metal Prints ordered through my site are printed on a glossy surface and have a 3/4" thick black aluminum frame on the back that will hold the print 3/4” off your wall surface. Prints are mounted to the wall using a supplied metal cleat that interlocks with the frame.

Gallery Wrap Canvas (Giclee) prints are printed on heavy-weight, archival quality canvas using eco-solvent inks. Canvas material is a 400gsm semi-gloss white poly-cotton blend specifically designed for the high-end fine art and photography markets. These are true Gicleé Prints that will last a lifetime.

Gallery Wrap Prints ordered through this site are hand-stretched over 1-1/2” deep solid wood frames to provide a drum-like tightness that won’t sag or warp over time.
